Chapter 8
Sean got into the car accident on my birthday.
I was celebrating it with Wesley and our parents. We were all enjoying our time together.
A friend texted me about the accident, and I replied, [He deserves it.]
Then, I turned off my phone.
The past was behind me, and all my feelings for Sean did not matter anymore.
Sean’s side:
After Wendy broke up with me, I finally understood why she had been so cold before leaving.
She had known that my legs were fine all along, but she never exposed me.
She must have given up on me at that point.
I remembered the time Josie knitted me a scarf.
Wendy did not cry or get upset. She just looked at me calmly.
It was like she knew that I had given the scarf she made me to stray dogs.
Right then, I had a strange feeling.
I could not tell what it was, but I felt that I was about to lose something important.
In the past, I did not care. I even flirted with Josie in front of Wendy.
After all, Wendy and I had been together for four years. It had been too long, and things were not exciting anymore.
So, I betrayed her and looked for something new.
The day Wendy left, I had suggested that we go to the mall.
Previously, she would have been so happy.
She had told me that her parents were always busy. So, she spent most of her time with a nanny when growing up. She had never been able to visit the mall with a loved one.
