+15 BONUS
Jasper’s investigation went on for several months, and Smith Corporation remained practically frozen during that time.
Even though the court ruled that Jasper was innocent and that he had been the victim of a plot to frame him, the company’s
prospects were no longer as good as they had once been.
I had no idea what possessed Jasper to do so, but he started coming to see me every day after that.
He sent me flowers without fail every day as well.
I didn’t open the door, so he shouted outside it. “Ari, I was wrong! I was blind and was deceived by Nicole!
“She abandoned me twice, and she runs off as fast as a rabbit every time something happens to me. She’s a bitch! She’s not fit to
lick your boots!
“Ari, let’s get remarried, if only for the sake of our child. I’ll be a good husband in the future, and I’ll be an earnest, responsible
father.”
I ignored him, so he knelt at the door and groveled, making thumping noises on the floor. I could not bear it any longer, so I had
to call the building management and security to march him away.
He persisted for a month or so and even brought bedding to my door. Beer bottles were piled up around him as he got drunk at my doorway every night, looking lovelorn and immovable.
I was extremely irritated. I was so nauseous every day that I felt as if I was going to have a second baby.
I had to find a way to contact Nicole so that she could get rid of Jasper. However, Nicole was very efficient at getting Jasper away.
He left very quickly.
After all, Smith Corporation was still a large company. After Jasper was proven innocent, Nicole was not willing to give up on a
rich man like him who obeyed her every whim and treated her so gently.
I grabbed the opportunity to move away. I brought the baby down to our estate in the countryside and stayed there for a while. I
handed the company over to a professional manager.
After less than half a month, I heard the news of Jasper and Nicole’s marriage. I had no feelings about it at all. I hoped that they
would stay together forever.
However, the day after they registered their marriage, Jasper made a public appearance with his new love interest. It angered Nicole so much that she sent me a series of messages to hurl abuse at me.
The reason she had done so was because Jasper’s new lover was a dancer who resembled me. Jasper hadn’t been home at all because of her, and he had neglected Nicole.
Nicole had gone to the office and kicked up a huge fuss several times, but she hadn’t even managed to see Jasper.
