I had no interest in the affairs of people who were unimportant to me. Every day, my schedule was filled with work and taking
care of the baby.
When I next heard news about Jasper, half a year had passed. I had to attend a charity banquet.
A young and beautiful woman held Jasper’s arm as they walked toward me. She smiled and said, “We do resemble each other. It’s
an honor for me to look like you, Ms. Carlton.”
Jasper rubbed his nose awkwardly. “Ari, how have you been recently?”
The young woman was very tactful and let go of Jasper. “Jas, you can talk to Ms. Carlton. I’d like to look around and have some
fun.”
I wanted nothing more than to avoid him. I hastily retreated three steps backward and refused sternly. “No, we’re not close!”
Both of their expressions changed. Nicole’s shrill voice rang out as she charged over to us. “Ariana Belson, you slut!”
I was startled. My eyes met Jasper’s, and then I looked away in disgust. What was the deal with her name? Why had he found
someone whose name was so similar to mine?
Nicole wasn’t as frail as Jasper had always made her out to be. She was heavily pregnant, but that didn’t make her any less
aggressive. She pinned Ariana down on the floor in a second and began punching her.
Jasper went up to stop them, but she elbowed him in a sensitive spot and made him unable to move from the pain. He could only watch helplessly as his pregnant wife held his lover down on the floor and beat her up.
In the end, Nicole was so agitated that she actually gave birth to a blond baby right there and then. Everyone turned to look at
Jasper.
Jasper let out a roar of fury and grabbed Nicole’s hair. He spat accusingly. “Whose child is this?”
Nicole was surprisingly strong. She shouted, “Whoever’s it is, it’s not yours!”
She pointed at Ariana, who was lying in a daze on the floor. “She won’t have any child of yours either, because I’ve made you infertile! You’ll never have another child for the rest of your life!”
Jasper screamed in rage and tackled Nicole.
I backed out quietly from the crowd and went upstairs to discuss work with a business partner.
By the time my discussion ended, the banquet was about to end. When I left the room, the crowd had dispersed. Jasper, Ariana, and Nicole were gone as well.
I had no interest in finding out about what happened to them after that, but someone very enthusiastically informed me that Jasper almost beat Nicole to death. Even though he did not succeed, she was still severely injured, and he would probably have to go to jail.
When my child turned five, Tyler and Bryan brought him on a trip to Yuro.

With two fathers to play with, he didn’t even think about me at all! He forgot about me, his mother, while I was working hard to earn money back home.
Jasper sent me many letters while he was in jail. He begged me to take the child to see him and said that he missed us very much.
I burned all his letters and did not reply to any of them. He could spend the rest of his life in jail with those unfulfilled desires.
