“Why am I crying? I must be fake. Why would I be crying?”
He eventually wiped away his tears when he got a call from the hospital.
“Are you Stella Riverra’s family? I’m from the First Hospital. She’s scheduled for a prenatal check–up today. Due to her and her baby’s frailty, I would suggest that she receive her check–up as scheduled.”
Zach smiled. The tears that had stopped started falling again.
He hugged his head and mumbled, “Starling, did you hear that? I’m going to be a father.”
