Christian was sentenced to death. On the day of his trial, an angry crowd gathered outside the courthouse, hurling rotten eggs and vegetables at him. He didn’t dodge. He just stood there, taking every hit.
I knew—he wanted to atone.
Minnie and I had been with him all along. If we could watch him die with our own eyes, our revenge would finally be complete.
Christian’s execution was broadcast live. The comment section flooded with curses, with people denouncing him as a monster.
The executioner pressed the syringe. Slowly, the poison entered his veins.
Christian didn’t struggle. He simply stopped breathing.
The moment he died, I felt something shift. My body suddenly felt light. Minnie and I drifted upward.
