then, I had always done better than her, and my lecturer liked me a lot.
I got married after we graduated. Unfortunately, Yoel suddenly said he didn’t like it when I drew anyone or anything else because he would get jealous. So, he only allowed me to draw him and Remy, and I accepted it.
When Remy died, I was so sad that I stopped drawing entirely. After that, Rosa, who had always been one step behind me, rose to fame with Yoel’s help. Then, she was able to sell her paintings for hundreds of thousands of dollars each.
“I didn’t expect you to still know how to draw after stopping for three years, Felicity.”
Before I could say anything, Bobby said, “Ms. Allen drew me, and she was great at it!”
Rosa scoffed in disdain. “I see. You saw a village bumpkin who looked like your dead son and started missing him again, didn’t you? He sure is a village bumpkin for not being able to tell apart the better–looking painting. What an idiot.”
I clenched my fists tightly and said, “I dare you to insult my son and Bobby once more, Rosa. Do it, and I’ll rip your mouth out!” She wasn’t afraid at all. “Do you know why Yoel likes me so much but I’ve never agreed to be with him, Felicity?”
I thought about that question countless times as well. I was certain that he already had deep feelings for her since we were in university. If she had agreed to be with him back then, I never would’ve gotten the chance to marry him at all.
Rosa slowly got closer to me and looked at me with a vile gaze.
“How can you possibly be better than me when you’re an unlucky woman who got your parents and son killed? Yoel grew up with you, and many men had a crush on you in university! When I found out that you liked Yoel, I swore I would do anything to make him mine.
“I wanted to torture you slowly and watch as you lost everything. I wanted you to fall from
grace!”
