Chapter Seven
Damien’s POV
A storm thundered through my mind when I saw Celeste.
Instead of going home and cleaning my house, she was grinding on those pimple–faced nobodies. They all wanted her, and she was shaking her ass, begging for it.
She should have been on her knees, begging me to take her back.
“What the fuck are you doing dancing with other men?”
I shouted with barely contained rage, my fingers gouging into her flesh. She stared at me with her mouth open for a few seconds before her face twisted into a scowl.
“Leave me alone. I’m having fun for once.”
How dare she dismiss me?
Celeste ripped her arm free and turned to the dance floor. There wasn’t a chance in hell I was letting her go back to slut it up with those losers.
“Get your ass back here.” I spat through clenched jaws. “Now.”
My fists shook at my sides as she ignored me.
Fury flooded my veins. I grabbed her thighs and flung her over my shoulder in a flash. Celeste had been acting out way too much recently.
It was time I reminded her who called the shots.
“Damien!” she shrieked. “Put me down right now!”
I carried her, writhing like a worm on a hook, away from the dance floor. Her weak fists pattered my back while her legs thrashed under an arm. I tightened my grip on her thighs against my chest and she gasped sharply in pain.
The corners of my mouth twitched up.
She yelled, “For god’s sake, Damien. Put. Me. Down.”
I would make her regret fooling around tonight.
We reached a secluded section of the bar. I dumped her on her heels and she staggered to the side, disorientated. I grabbed her face and crushed my lips against hers in a forceful kiss.
Even if I threw her away, no one else had the right to touch her.
I thrust my tongue past her lips and hit a wall of teeth. With a snarl, my fingers dug into her jaw, commanding it
to open.
A sharp slap across the face stunned me.
Celeste shoved us apart. My hand flew to my stinging cheek as I met her fiery glare with one as cold
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” She fumed.
“I haven’t signed the divorce papers yet,” I said, my voice as sharp as steel. “You’re still my wife.”
Repulsion spread across her face.

Chapter Seven
“You had a freaking affair with my best friend and you’re mad at me?”
“Even if I don’t want you,” My voice was harsh with domineering possessiveness. “You have no right to dance with another man.”
“What? That makes no-”
I cut her off. “How could you act so deplorably? Did you not once stop to consider my reputation?”
Celeste stared me down, a hand propped on her hip.
“Your reputation?” She had the audacity to snigger. “For god’s sake Damien, you’re the CEO of a jewelry company, not his royal highness.”
I stalked closer, my nostrils flaring.
“I never realized you were so low–class you’d abandon our daughter to spread your legs for the first loser who gives you the time of day.”
“I did not abandon my daughter, you egotistical piece of shit.” She spat venom. “You’re not worth my time. Security!”
She was a worthless housewife that I supported for over five years. How dare she speak to me like that?
I flew at her, grabbing her shoulders as my rage boiled over. Celeste didn’t flinch, defiance gleaming in her eyes.
Before I could backhand the harlot, burly guards tore me off her.
“Let me go,” I shouted. “Do you have any idea who you’re messing with?”
It was useless. They hauled me between them and threw me onto the street outside the bar.
I screamed with frustration and kicked the car in front of me so hard its alarm blared. No one disrespected me like
that.
No one.
I sped back to the hospital, not caring about red lights or parking tickets. If I didn’t get more distance between us,
I would turn around and drag her out of that bar by her hair.
I reached the hospital in record time.
The female staff greeted me eagerly as I walked through the children’s ward.
“Bonnie’s dad?”
I glanced back with annoyance, nearly telling off the nurse before I had a look at her. Platinum blonde hair and perky tits. Maybe in her early twenties.
“Yes, I’m Bonnie’s dad.” I flashed her a disarming smile. “But please, call me Damien.”
She blushed, and my mood improved a notch.
“Damien, the pediatrician said Bonnie’s bloodwork came back normal.”
“Thanks, gorgeous,” I said with a smirk. She blushed harder, her eyes flickering away. She nodded and hurried
away.
My daughter lay in her bed, smothering a pink plush dolphin and smiling for the first time since yesterday.
“Hello, Bon–Bon.”

Chapter Seven
She beamed up at me. The circles under her eyes were still dark, but her cheeks held a touch of color.
“Daddy!”
“Where’d you disappear to?” Vanessa asked, looking up from her phone.
I sat on the chair next to Bonnie’s bed.
“I went to tell Celeste to get her ass here and look after our sick child.” I gritted my teeth. “But she was too busy indulging her promiscuity to care.”
“That’s terrible. I’m so sorry, babe.” She cooed.
I sat back. I didn’t want to think about that woman anymore
“Did you get her the toy?” I asked, gesturing to the dolphin in Bonnie’s arms.
“I have better taste than that.” Her top lip curled back. “Celeste had a deliveryman drop it off.”
My eyes darkened as I frowned at the toy.
I was reaching out to snatch it and toss it in the trash when my phone pinged.
I pulled it out of my pants pocket and read the notification. It was a court summons from Celeste, ordering me to appear at the civil affairs office to finalize our divorce tomorrow.
A moment later, my phone flew and smashed against a wall, clattering in pieces on the hospital floor.
