“You can’t go on like this! Look at yourself. You’re a mess!”
She reached out to embrace him, but Kenneth grabbed her wrist and yanked her hand away.
Agnes froze and stared at him in confusion.
“If you’re fine now, go home and get some rest. You’re an adult. There’s nothing you can’t get through,” Kenneth said coldly.
He no longer allowed Agnes to come near him.
I found it hilarious as I watched this unfold.
He had ignored me for her sake in the past.
Now that I was gone, he was ignoring her.
I never imagined Agnes would one day have to face this too.
After a while, Kenneth glanced at the incoming call on his reopened phone and immediately picked it up.
“I’m on my way!” he exclaimed before grabbing his coat and heading out.
Agnes quickly followed. “I’ll go with you!”
Kenneth said nothing. He brought her along to the police station.
The coroner handed him my autopsy report. After reading it, Kenneth nearly lost his footing.
“The deceased has been dead for seven days. She suffered greatly before her death. She was frozen alive,” the coroner stated.
Tears welled in Kenneth’s eyes as he clutched his head and crouched down. He slapped himself across the face.
Agnes grabbed his arm tightly to stop him from hitting himself again.
“How did this happen? Why did it turn out like this? I don’t understand.” His voice was trembling.
Kenneth staggered out of the police station. He barely made it to his car.
That was when his secretary called and spoke in an urgent tone.
“Alpha Kenneth, we found the person who opened the
freezer!”
