Looking at their hypocritical faces now, I was filled with revulsion: “Yes, the pup is gone. And not just that–Aurora can never shift again. We told you already, but you didn’t believe us. Let’s just sever the bonds. There’s nothing left to discuss.”
Alexander stumbled back two steps, disbelief filling his eyes as he mumbled:
“So you weren’t just trying to scare me. The pup is really gone.”
Snapping out of his daze, he roared at me:
“Aria, you’re a monster! The pup was five months along, and you terminated it just to spite me! It was already formed!”
“Have you lost your mind? How dare you kill my pup! Come with me to the Alpha Council–life for a life!”
A bleak smile twisted my lips as I looked up at Alexander.
“If we’re naming killers, you and Victoria are the true murderers. I was targeted because of a pack you expelled. The rogue wolves came for revenge and found me instead. They hit me, kicked me, drove their claws into my stomach, and you call ME a monster?”
“If your precious ‘sister‘ here hadn’t revealed my location to the rogues, telling them that taking me hostage would threaten you,
would I have lost my child?”

“Five months carrying that pup–I suffered more than any of you could imagine!”
“No, it wasn’t me…” Victoria stammered, trying to step forward to explain, but Ethan cut her off.
“What did you say? Aurora can’t shift anymore? Why? I thought only one person was taken hostage. What does this have to do
with my mate?”
Hearing Ethan’s questions, Aurora lunged forward and slapped him hard across the face.
“How dare you even ask! If you had answered just one of our calls, would we have been trapped in that mudslide? Would we have been stranded? Would Aria have lost her pup?”
I continued. “Maybe it’s better the pup is gone. You don’t deserve to be father, and you certainly don’t deserve to be mate!
Weren’t you both proudly announcing on pack channels that you’d be the father to Victoria’s bastard pup? Perfect timing–that
can be your real child now. Our pup lived and died without you even caring!”
Ethan stood frozen, still in shock, the red handprint visible on his face.
Alexander, however, was starting to comprehend, his expression turning rigid.
“What are you saying? Aria was really ambushed by rogues? Why didn’t you call to tell me? Were you trapped in the mudslide
trying to save her? What exactly happened? Why didn’t you tell us?”
His voice carried a hint of a sob, growing increasingly desperate.
Too bad his belated concern wasn’t worth anything–not even a stray dog would want it now!
It was too late. Everything was too late!
My voice was ice–cold, my eyes filled with mockery:
“When you ignored my first nine mindlink calls, I was tied to a tree while the rogues clawed and kicked me.”
“When you finally answered the tenth call, full of accusations, the rogues decided I was worthless to them. How could they possibly spare your pup after that?”
“You had a chance to save our child. The rogues initially only wanted territory–they never intended to harm our pup!”
Hearing this, Alexander completely broke down, crouching on the ground with his head in his hands, sobbing uncontrollably.
Victoria moved to embrace him, but he violently pushed her away. She fell backward, scraping her palms on the floor, blood
seeping from the scratches.
Victoria’s face registered disbelief–this was the first time she had ever been rejected like this.
I glanced at her briefly before turning to Ethan, saying:
“If I’m not mistaken, the new rogue attack case you’re handling… guess who the victim was? And who’s now being accused?”
Only then did the twins fully understand, turning murderous glares toward Victoria.

“It wasn’t me, honestly! That day I was just passing through the forest. I was then kidnapped by those rogues too! How could it
possibly be me who set this up? I had no idea about any attack!” Victoria protested, her voice breaking with tears.
In the past, whenever she spoke in that tearful voice, the Alpha twins would immediately rush to comfort her, ready to defend her
honor.
But this time, neither of them responded. They simply stared at her with complicated expressions.
Their eyes were filled with disgust.
