Good luck being on your own.”

I left in a huff

When I got upstairs, Sean was still on the couch, looking completely broken

I sighed and went over to him to say, I can tell you which country and university she’s at right now as an exchange student. You should go to her.”

Since all of this was a misunderstanding, there was no need to insist on keeping this a secret. I didn’t mind giving them a push to clear the air between them

Sean’s eyes brightened as he looked at me

When I got home, I packed up the last of my things to move to my new place. I knew I was completely free now

A few days later, Yvonne was tossed to the downstairs of my house with her legs broken

She was sent to the hospital, but her legs had been left broken for too long and could no longer be healed. Yvonne ended up maimed for life

Mom was enraged. She wanted to call the police, but Yvonne would not let her do it. She knew that if Mom called the police, they would discover that she had poisoned someone

Meanwhile, I had finally moved out to my newly rented house

My parents initially tried to find me and even made a ruckus at my school to no avail. They gave up in the end

Now that Yvonne was disabled, she was forced to stop studying and rest at home. Mom had to care for her every day

Yvonne still had a bad temper after her legs were maimed. She would break drinking glasses every day

After Mom’s dream of her daughter marrying a rich man was destroyed, she no longer treated Yvonne the same way as before

Arguments broke out in the house every day, and the neighbors reported it to the police several times to stop them

When I heard the news, I was preparing for the SATS. I sniggered but harbored no pity for them. They deserved this. They brought this upon themselves, and it was no one’s fault but theirs

I prepared for the exams alone in my newlyrented home for half a semester. It was soon when it was time for the SATS. It was at this time that my family somehow found my new address and came looking for me

Mom was pushing Yvonne in a wheelchair when she knocked on my door. They were standing at the door, glaring viciously at me

Aren’t you enjoying the good life? You’re here having a great time while our family is suffering. How did you manage to rent this place? Did some random man rent it for you?”

I stared at their furious faces and shook my head. It has nothing to do with you guys. Get out of my rented house!”

Yvonne glared viciously at me. Why should we? Your rented house belongs to us too. We want to live here too. You’ve gotten wild for the past half a year, living here alone. Don’t even think about escaping now.”

They trapped me in my house and refused to let me leave
