Wearing that illfitting wedding dress, I stumbled out of the wedding venue, my steps unsteady

Behind me, a swarm of reporters surged forward, their voices relentless

Miss Rory, you and Mr. Cameron have shared a deep bond Why the sudden fallout? Is Kathy truly the third party in your relationship?”

Miss Rory, can you directly address these questions?”

Though my heart was utterly exhausted, the weight of years of love rooted me to the spot. I turned around to face the flashing cameras, forcing myself to appear composed

It’s simple,I said, my voice calm but resolute. We’ve been together too long, and we’ve grown tired of each other. As for whether Kathy is the third party, I have no idea. You can ask Bruce about that.”

I paused briefly, then continued, All I hope for now is that he and I can let each other go.”

Bruce, this is the last shred of dignity I’ll leave for you,I said inwardly

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him rushing out after the reporters, his composure shattered. The man who was once the picture of poise, the business elite capable of commanding any room, now looked panicked, his face betraying desperation and regret

Pushing through the crowd, he shouted my name, begging me not to leave

But it was far too late, Bruce

From the moment you first brought Kathy into our home and into our bed. From the night you left me, ill and alone, to take her to the movies. You should have known then that there was no future left for us

I returned to the home we had once shared and methodically erased every trace of him. The divorce agreement had already been sent to his email. To ensure he wouldn’t miss it, I printed out a copy and placed it neatly on the coffee table

Before leaving, I took one last look around. This house, which carried so many of our memories, was the first place we moved into after Bruce’s business began to thrive. But no matter how much effort I poured into it, this house, like his heart, remained cold and unwelcoming

As I gazed around, a tide of memories surged back, overwhelming me
