Evelyn was on the verge of tears. Her dignity was shattered. Anger surged through her as she fought back desperately
In the moment his attention was diverted by Dahlia and his quard was down, she kneed him hard below the belt.

Pulling her coat tighter around her disheveled self, she hurried back to her own car in a disarray of steps and got in. Only when she locked the door did her tense nerves finally relax.
Inside the car, Charles leaned back in his seat, taking out a cigarette from the pack and lighting it.
His gaze had followed Evelyn, as he savored how she had just lain beneath him.
