The man was big and strong. With a powerful shove, Evelyn was pushed back several steps. The man brazenly entered, slamming the door shut behind him Evelyn regained her balance and didn’t think twice before she pulled a pocket knife from her bag and faced the intruder. Her expression was defensive, and her voice Mer “Get out! Or you will regret this!”
The man saw her reaction and immediately leaned against the door with his hands up, a cheeky grin on his face. “Ms. Evelyn, don’t be nervous. I mean no harm. I’m here today to discuss a deal with you that I think you’ll find very interesting, concerning your daughter’s death.
