Before Joshua could find me, Olivia threw herself into his ans.
“Josh, I’m back! Did you miss me?”
Joshua’s expression tightened. “Olivia? What are you doing here?”
“I came back today just to surprise you!”
He said nothing further. Instead, he pushed her away and quickly stepped into the hall.
“This… is this your doing?”
Olivia nodded nonchalantly. “I’m your wife, so of course I took care of these little distractions for you.
“Seriously, Josh, if you wanted a fling, how could you settle for someone like her?
“I’ve already dealt with this mistress and the bastard she carries. We can remarry now, right?”
Seeing the chaos around him and my pitiful state, Joshua could no longer maintain his refined demeanor.
His eyes turned crimson as he strained to contain his anger
“Who did you call a mistress?”
Olivia seemed oblivious to the fury in his voice. Instead, she looped her arm around his and playfully pouted.
“Women like her just cling to rich men so don’t let her deceive you!”
At that moment, Mrs. Granger stepped forward.
“Joshua, it’s your fault for divorcing your wife because of this woman!
“It’s a good thing you didn’t marry this woman. Today is a good day. You should quickly remarry Miss Olivia!”
Joshua felt his suppressed anger rising.
He raised his hand and slapped Olivia hard across the face.
She covered her bruised cheek, her expression dazed.
