Panic shot through me as medics swarmed in.
I stayed right beside him, never letting go as we rushed to the hospital.
The doctor’s words felt like a lifeline.
“His injuries aren’t too serious. The worst is his head wound, a mild concussion, and some swelling. He needs to be monitored, but he’ll be okay.”
I arranged the best hospital room possible.
Sitting beside him, I gripped his hand tightly, afraid to let go, as if the moment I did, he would disappear again.
I held onto his hand for an entire day and night.
When I finally stepped away and returned, he was awake.
He told me the message he sent was just a joke.
I didn’t care.
As long as he was alive, nothing else mattered.
I didn’t dare ask for more.
I only begged fate not to take him away from me.
After bringing him home, I couldn’t stop thinking.
So, I called my lawyer and drafted my will.
I had to leave something behind for Sora.
Life was unpredictable.
Every day, people died in ways no one could have foreseen,
And if I were to die… who would protect my Sora?
I signed over every property and savings account in my name to him.
This way, no matter what happened, he would always have security.
If I lived, he would continue working at Homer Enterprises and never lack for anything.
He would live well.
But if one day, he was truly gone… then I knew I would follow.
In my journal, I wrote:
“Please, let him be safe.”
Chapter 14
“If anything happens to him, I’ll die with him.”
It was both my vow and my final wish.
I love Sora.
And I hope that one day, he will love me just as much.
