Standing there, radiating a presence so imposing and untouchable that the air in the room shifted.
And beside him was Angela.
My head threatened to explode.
This was a mistake.
I should have never come tonight.
Wade froze.
His face drained of color.
“Y–you… you’re Kian Homer?”
”
Kian stepped forward, his every step deliberate, and every movement commanding.
Even without speaking, his presence alone suffocated the room.
“Tell me, why would he even bother speaking to you? Why would he waste his time on a clown?”
Kian’s voice was calm, but his eyes, cold.and razor–sharp, locked onto Wade with an intensity that could kill.
Wade visibly tensed, the smugness draining from his face.
“Haha, Mr. Homer, it’s all a misunderstanding! Sora and I are old classmates. I was just joking around!”
“Oh? A joke?” Kian’s voice was flat, unreadable.
Then, almost lazily, he asked, “Which company are you with?”
Wade’s entire face lit up with an eager smile.
He hurriedly pulled out his business card.
“Mr. Homer, I’m Wade Turner, General Manager of Infinity
E s.
Enterprises!”
We even have partnerships with Homer
Kian took his card, glanced at it, then casually pulled out his phone and made a call.
“Alex, terminate all partnerships with Infinity Electronics. Blacklist them.”
The room fell into dead silence.
Wade’s face drained of color.
“M–Mr. Homer, please, wait! This is a misunderstanding!” He stammered, his voice rising in panic.
Kian hung up without another word, his gaze still icily fixed on Wade.
Wade instinctively stepped back, his breath shallow, fear flashing in his eyes.
But for the sake of his business, he still plastered on a forced smile, his tone dropping into pathetic flattery.
“Mr. Homer, please, tell me what I did wrong. I’ll apologize properly. After all, we’re old schoolmates, aren’t we?” Kian didn’t even acknowledge him.
His attention was on me.
He stretched out his hand. “Sora, come here.”

I stood there, stunned and motionless.
Then, almost like I was being pulled by some invisible force, I stepped forward.
The entire room watched in silence.
Wade’s expression finally shifted.
He realized it now.
Kian was standing up for me.
“A–ah, Sora! It was just a joke! Come on, don’t be mad at an old friend. I had too much to drink! Let’s not take it seriously, yeah? I’m really sorry. Look, I’ll even apologize properly.”
He slapped himself twice, right across the face.
Then, still grinning stiffly, he pleaded, “Sora, say something! Help me explain to Mr. Homer! We’re classmates, right? You wouldn’t hold a grudge against an old friend, would you?”
Kian chuckled softly, a sound so cold it sent chills down everyone’s spine.
Then, his voice rang out across the room.
