Nash chose a different path for his youth in this lifetime, allowing himself to fall into decadence. However, I couldn’t afford that luxury; I had to strive upward to fulfill my dreams.

I glanced around, my eyes gradually adjusting to the prolonged darkness, allowing me to faintly discern the contours of the equipment room. This room had only two exits–one was the door behind me, the other, a narrow window.
As darkness descended, I couldn’t afford to delay any longer. I fumbled around and found a baseball bat, using it to strike the glass window. The shattering sound was piercing, but at this hour, there was no one left on the campus to take notice.
I carefully climbed up through the window frame, feeling a bit dizzy as I went. The equipment room was on the second floor, and below the window, there was nothing but a concrete floor–no grass in sight.
Sitting on the windowsill, I felt on the verge of tears. If there had been a grassy area below, I might have risked jumping. I tried shouting several times, but there was no one around. At that moment, I couldn’t help but curse Nash in my mind, repeating it eight hundred times.

it all because of his crush on someone else? But I hadn’t done anything to harm her.
Is.ghed; it was useless to dwell on these thoughts now I needed to get out of here; otherwise, I would miss the competition tomorrow. I climbed down from the window, feeling around in the equipment room to find a rope. I tied one end around my waist and the other to a shelf.
With everything set up, I cautiously climbed back up to the window. Summoning my courage, I closed my eyes and jumped. However, I still couldn’t make it to the competition the next day.
My luck was simply terrible. The rope was old and couldn’t bear my weight, breaking the moment I jumped. I fell to the ground, breaking my leg and passing out instantly.
The next morning, a teacher who had arrived early found me, and I was rushed to the hospital. My homeroom teacher visited me at the hospital, shaking her head in regret.
“Your grades were good, and the competition wasn’t that difficult.
