Usually, parents would surround his mom for advice and mine to learn from her.
Now sitting here, surrounded by the envious looks of parents, there should have been the presence of his parents as well.
The recognition board at the school should also have his name on it.
However, he had given up on all of this himself.
I walked past Nash in a stylish, well–fitted dress, and he suddenly stopped me.
“Congratulations. Wendy, didn’t you want to go to the Central Academy of Fine Arts? With your score now, you could easily get in.”
I smiled, “No, my dream was never the Central Academy of Fine Arts. I’m heading to San Athens University.”
“Why? Weren’t you studying at the Central Academy of Fine Arts before?” Nash was puzzled.
Yes, in my previous life, I went to the Central Academy of Fine Arts alone to fulfill our agreement.
However, I realized I didn’t enjoy studying those subjects at all. What I liked was competing in the marketplace, using all my skills to crush my competitors.
So, I chose San Athens University, School of Managernent.
A few days later, the school invited me back to give a speech, to inspire the new batch of high school
seniors.
My homeroom teacher brought the entire senior class, and she painstakingly compiled all my high school transcripts, printing them prominently on the bulletin board for everyone to see.
Everyone who passed by could clearly see how I had turned things around.
Now, on the stage, I accepted the admiration and adoration of everyone.
In the crowd, 1 spotted Nash and Yvonne.
Both of them looked very unhappy, sitting in their chairs with low spirits.
They used to be the stars of the school, and their crazy antics and epic love story would always garner attention and cheers.
But now, nobody cared about them anymore.
I cleared my throat and began, “Once, I was mocked as a bookworm who only knew how to study, as someone utterly boring. But I never felt that way. Someone told me that at every stage of our lives, we have different main objectives. At our age, our main task is to study diligently.
I never believed that youth had to be wild. In my opinion, true youth is about giving your all to everything you do, so you have no regrets.”
The younger students stood up and applauded enthusiastically, drowning out Nash and Yvonne. I couldn’t see them anymore.
As I left the school, a younger student stopped me. “Senior, my grades aren’t very good, and I don’t know what to do.”
I smiled and said, “You can communicate more with your parents and consider the advice everyone gives you. Whatever choice you make, as long as you give it your all to get closer to your goal, it will be the best outcome.”
Nash glanced at me, his eyes deep and distant.
I turned away without giving him a second look.
Sasha called me later to tell me the juicy news that Yvonne had been rejected by the art school.
