Yohan was furious. With bloodshot eyes, he smashed all the alcohol bottles onto the floor.
The atmosphere grew tense. Having seen him lose his temper for the first time, some of them trembled in silence.
Yohan suddenly realized something important–Samuel had never addressed him as his brother–in–law, nor did he address. Naomi as his older sister. He found Samuel to be a complete hypocrite.
Yohan immediately drove over to Samuel’s company.
As soon as Yohan entered the office, he grabbed Samuel by the collar and punched him,
Yohan gritted, “How dare you–I treated you as my brother–in–law, yet you actually have feelings for your sister!”
Samuel wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. He looked at him in contempt as he sneered, “Are you even qualified to be
my brother–in–law? Just take a look at our chat history for once!”
Despite his confusion, Yohan opened his phone and started looking for Samuel’s chat page. It didn’t take long to find it–after all, he would reach out to Samuel every so often for something.

Yohan’s face grew paler as he continued to scroll through their chat history.
His own texts read, “Accompany your sister for her prenatal checkup.”
“She had severe morning sickness and refused to eat at home. Come over for a bit.”
“She’s suffering from postpartum depression. You should accompany her for a trip abroad if you have some time—I don’t.”
“Naomi has a fever.”
“Naomi is throwing a tantrum again. I don’t have the time to play along. Go check up on her on my behalf.”
“Naomi is involved in a car accident. Come over to take care of her.”
Samuel had instantly replied to every single text
He had never reached out to Naomi, nor did he visited her on his own–it was always under Yohan’s instructions.
Throughout their marriage, Samuel had accompanied her to all 14 of her prenatal checkups. Yohan was the one who asked Samuel to stay by her side whenever she was sad or upset.
Samuel had completely played the role of a husband in their marriage, and Yohan only realized this belatedly.
He had always admired the sibling bond between them. Samuel was still the CEO of a listed company after all, yet whenever he sent Samuel a text related to Naomi, he would immediately drop everything and rush over.
Yohan’s hands trembled as he continued to scroll through their chat history.
Samuel returned the punch to Yohan, who did not avoid it. The hit landed solid on him, and he staggered to brace himself against
the wall.
Samuel stared at Yohan coldly. “How do you feel after reading them? I’ve been wanting to hit you for the longest time. Let me ask you–where were you when Naomi had complications during her labor?”
He answered on behalf of Yohan, “Your wife and child’s lives were in danger, yet you were abroad watching Emily’s performance.”
