Chapter 7
I turned around to leave. Yoel left Rosa behind and came after me like a madman. I was exhausted, and I didn’t want to hear his
excuses anymore. I didn’t want to live in this endless dilemma.
“You want me to forgive you, don’t you?” After he nodded, I pointed at Rosa and said, “In that case, can you kill her now?”
Back then, he said he would willingly be in jail or even die for Rosa. If he could kill and be locked up for me this time, then I would believe that he had changed.
When I saw how he was standing there in a daze, I laughed without holding back. “Oh, I thought you were a man who would do
anything for love. After all, you willingly killed your own son and snatched your wife’s kidney for Rosa! So, why are you hesitating
now?”
The teachers who came because of the commotion heard what I’d said when they arrived. Their eyes widened in shock as they
stared at Yoel.
A hurt expression showed up in his eyes, and he went mad in the end. “I’m not afraid of prison, but you’re just going to run away
again when I’m locked up, right? Felicity, I just want to live a peaceful life with you right now.”
He said he could sell all of his assets away. Then, he would stay with me in the mountains or even travel the whole world with me.
That way, he could finally get rid of Rosa, and she wouldn’t be able to find us again.
I smirked coldly, thinking I should forget about it. After all, I didn’t want to have Rosa appear everywhere I went. I didn’t want to
live my life in fear, thinking that she could appear at any moment to hurt me.
“I’m begging you, Yoel. Can you just let me go?”
After the sun had set, the 999 lockets had lost their shine as well. Instead, they looked like the rocks on the side of the road.
However, Yoel and Rosa still hadn’t left. They just stayed in the mountains with me. Rosa would walk around the school every day
and draw a picture from time to time.
Yoel might have ignored her, but the children in the village started to become close to her. After all, they were all innocent, and
she was able to win their hearts with sweets in a few days. Rosa loved talking to Bobby the most and even let him touch her
canvas.
“What do you think of my painting?”
Bobby nodded before running toward me hurriedly.
“Ms. Allen paints better!”
Rosa couldn’t even maintain the fake smile on her face when she heard that. On the other hand, I laughed happily and pinched Bobby’s cheeks. “You have great taste, Bobby!”
Yoel and I studied at Jerington University together. His major was finance, while I was studying arts. Rosa was my junior. Back
