“If I heard correctly, the case you’re handling should be about my attackers, right? Led by someone called Draven?”
I pulled out the enforcement division receipt from my bag and tossed it to him.
“Check if it’s the same case.”
“If so, there’s even more reason to sever our bonds today.”
“Yes, it must be done today. I can’t stand another minute of this–you’re all disgraceful!” Aurora added.
Ethan’s eyes fell on the document in my hand, his expression changing dramatically.

“Aria, what are you saying? You were the victim in this attack case? The one handled by my department? The rogue who stabbed a pregnant she–wolf? How could that be you?”
“What is going on here?”
Hearing this, Alexander’s expression also shifted, turning serious.
His face cooled as he said warily: “Aria, this isn’t something to joke about. I know you’re angry with us, but this has nothing to do with my brother’s work. Stop making a scene and wait until we’ve finished our duties to discuss this.”
He still believed I was making it all up.
At the very least, he hadn’t fully accepted the truth yet.
I felt like I’d just heard the world’s most ridiculous joke and couldn’t help but let out a cold, disdainful laugh: “Are you suggesting
I’m using my dead pup to put on a show for you?”
“Alexander, who do you think you are? Don’t overestimate your importance to me. I don’t have the energy or interest to perform for you. As for your accusations of me making scenes, being angry, or seeking attention–I suggest you stop talking because it makes me sick. Looking at you makes me sick! Haven’t you understood yet? I want our bond severed. As for you, go cool off
somewhere else.”
Alexander’s face paled. For the first time, he seemed to truly grasp the gravity of the situation.
“The enforcement division has the rogues in custody,” Ethan said slowly, staring at the document. “They’ve confessed to attacking a pregnant she–wolf five months along…”
He looked up, his eyes meeting Alexander’s. “Brother, this is real. These are official documents.”
Despite Ethan’s confirmation, Alexander still maintained a thread of disbelief.
He snorted coldly before speaking: “Even if this is true, it’s not our fault. I understand you’re upset about losing the pup, and if you need to take your anger out on me, go ahead. But severance? Aria, think carefully. This isn’t a small matter, and you might
regret it.”
“You’ve always been dramatic, and you haven’t contributed to the pack in over a year. You know the consequences of leaving me. And I’m warning you–threatening bond severance isn’t leverage to get my attention. If you want that, find another method.”
“As for this nonsense about being targeted because of me, just stop. If that were true, the enforcement division would have
notified me already. Just tell me the truth about what really happened to our pup. I won’t blame you. We can have more pups in the future. Vent if you need to, but be rational. Don’t throw every accusation at me.”
“And if we’re severing our bond, leave my brother out of it. Honestly, I’m starting to think you’re cursed. Since our mating
ceremony, nothing in our lives has gone smoothly.”
