We didn’t receive news about them again until a month later.
Victoria was imprisoned in the Silver Prison after her capture.
And her pup had been found starved to death in her den when the enforcers searched it.
Being convicted as the mastermind behind the attack, she would spend years with silver chains binding her wolf, preventing her from shifting. The prime years of her life would be spent in that hellish place.
Ethan and Alexander, after our bond severance, spiraled into a destructive pattern. Every night, they drowned themselves in
wolfsbane liquor, neglecting their duties as Alphas.
Pack affairs fell into disarray. Territorial disputes went unresolved, alliance meetings were missed, and pack members‘ concerns
were ignored as the twins descended further into their drunken haze.
Finally, their Beta, Mason, had enough. Backed by the Council and most of the pack, he formally challenged their leadership.
The twins, weakened by alcohol and grief, couldn’t even properly shift for the challenge. They were soundly defeated and
unceremoniously expelled from the pack they had once led.
Word spread quickly through neighboring territories of the Alpha twins who abandoned their pregnant mates and lost everything
as a result.
The Alpha twins tried contacting us through different mindlink frequencies daily, apologizing and pleading for forgiveness from
Aurora and me.
They even knelt at the entrance of our new den at one point.
After we blocked their mindlinks completely and reported their harassment to the Council, peace finally returned to our lives.
After enduring so much pain, we certainly weren’t looking to reconcile with those worthless males.
For Aurora and me, the best days were yet to come!
Two seasons passed since that fateful day. The forest around our small den burst with spring blooms, a stark contrast to the
winter of our souls when we first arrived here.
