On the other stile, Gabriel was shirtless as he held Hannah to his arms, but he grew uneasy. His heart clenched at the image of Andrea’s calm and almost detached gaze when he left with Anthony,
However, Hannah, who was touching his chest, was unaware of his strange behavior. She was about to kiss his face when Gabriel abruptly pushed her away.
“Darling?” Confused, Hannah reached out to grab him.
Gabriel did not even look at her. He got out of bed, grabbed his torn shirt from the floor, looked at it with disgust, and threw it back on the floor. Then, he grabbed a new shirt from the closet and wanted to leave.
“Where are you going, Darling?” Hannäli asked, panicking as she saw him hurrying toward the door.
Gabriel stopped her. “I’m going home with Anthony. Be good.”
The warning tone in his voice stopped her, and Hannah watched him pick up the sleepy Anthony in the other room and carry him downstairs. She bit her lip, put on her slippers, and followed him.
Once he opened the front door, a courier stood there. “Is this Ms. Hannah Jennings‘ residence?”
Hannah walked up to Gabriel and Anthony and nodded. “Yes. What can I do for you?”
The courier moved a few steps to reveal two large boxes behind him. “These are items Ms. Andrea Young sent you. Please sign for it.”
Hearing Andrea’s name, Gabriel instinctively looked at the boxes.
Even Anthony, who was sound asleep in his arms, woke up. “Mom?”
Hannah did not have time to see Gabriel and Anthony’s reaction. After she signed for the boxes, she was filled with confusion as she crouched down to open the boxes. “Why did she send these to me?”
Gabriel put Anthony down and walked over to the boxes.
After checking out the contents of the boxes, Hannah stiffened and pulled out something. “What’s this…”
Gabriel looked at what was in her hand and quickly moved forward to open the boxes. They were full of presents he and Anthony had given Andrea and Andrea had given them!
His mind was in a mess, trying to figure it out, but everything was spinning and he could not do so. His fingers clenched the edge of a box, his heart racing faster and faster. Gabriel wondered, ‘Why are these things here?‘
Anthony was confused when he saw the things. “Why did Mom send all this stuff?”
The courier seemed to recall something and took out the family photo and put it on the boxes. “By the way, Ms. Andrea Young also said that she’s giving Ms. Hannah Jennings these items as well as her husband and child. She doesn’t want them anymore.”
Gabriel’s mind buzzed and went blank. He was in the family photo with Anthony and Hannah!
