After all, she carried Anthony in her womb for ten months, and she knew that he had taken a liking to Hannah behind her back partly due to her shortcomings. If she had discovered it in time and guided him, they would not have gotten into this situation.
However, Gabriel was the problem. If he had not taken Anthony to Hannah because Hannah said she loved children and could take care of children because she had early childhood education certification, Anthony would not have abandoned her to protect Hannah.
Quinton sat next to her and hugged Ellie. “Andrea, it’s not your fault.”
Andrea had told him these things when they arrived in the mission world–including information about her ten years of marriage and Anthony.
Even though her body in this world had long been burned, her soul was engraved with her past. She could not forget it.
Quinton told Andrea, “You have to know one thing. You were so weak. Even if it was a difficult labor, you insisted on giving birth to him. That’s enough to show your love for your son. He’s young, but if he really loved you, he would have told you secretly on the day Gabriel had an affair, instead of visiting Hannah with him.
“The reason he likes Hannah is just because she allows him to do things you forbid him to do, even if those things will kill him. A child who truly loves his mother wouldn’t have left his mother in a car accident and repeatedly lied to his mother because of other peoples‘ trivial acts of kindness.”
Quinton added, “He’s no longer your son. Now, he’s just a stranger with your blood flowing through his veins. Besides, Gabriel is the culprit of all this.
“Even if you were unwell and he couldn’t take care of Anthony, he could also hire a live–in nanny. Besides, there are so many people in Fulton Residence. How could there be no one to take care of Anthony?
“He insisted on having that lying and hypocritical secretary take care of him. He’s a cheater. Why give himself so many excuses? So, you’re not at fault whether you look after Anthony or not.
“After all, you have fulfilled your duties as a mother. You should blame Gabriel. If it wasn’t for his affair, you wouldn’t have gotten into this situation.”
Andrea rubbed her face and took a deep breath. “You’re right. Anthony is already a stranger to me, but I want to make it clear to them once and for all. I want them to stop bothering me.”
When the system first stated the mission, she did not quite understand it. Now, she understood.
