Mrs. Holland pushed through the crowd and spat at Joshua. A thick wad of phlegm landed on his suit.

“Right! We can’t let this scumbag and that shameless woman bully Miss Olivia. We need to stand by the rightful wife!”
The angry accusations brought a faint, shadow of a smile to Olivia’s pale face.
“Josh, I know that you were incited by this shameless woman. If you apologize, I’ll forgive you for hitting me!”

Joshua’s gaze was fierce as if he intended to burn everyones faces into his memory.
The women were stunned by this sudden turn of events, shrinking back and falling silent.

Joshua picked me up and headed for the door, but Olivia blocked his path.
“Are you still angry with me, Josh? I only said those things in a fit of anger. Can’t we just kiss and make up?”

Olivia became angry as well. “If you take that shameless woman away today, don’t ever ask me to remarry you!”

Olivia clutched her stomach and fell onto the shards of glass scattered across the floor.
