After that, there was an incredibly freeing sense of release.
Look at that. Even the last trace of sadness was gone.
It was just unfortunate that people always ended up regretting something in life.
Before this, I’d never regretted loving Hansen.
No matter if it had been good or bad, it was still an experience for me.
Yet, at that moment, I couldn’t help but feel a deep regret.
Why did it take me seven years to realize that Hansen had ever truly respected me?
Landon pulled me into his arms, looking at me with concern
I was still a bit pale, but I smiled at him and shook my head “I’m fine, Landon.”
Landon said, “Go and wait in the car. I’ll handle this.”
“I want to stay with you.” I clutched his hand, unwilling to let go.
Landon looked at me for a while before he suddenly lowered his head and kissed me.
“Christine, I’ve always lived my life with a clear conscience. I’ve never had any regrets. But right now, I regret not stealing you away from him sooner,” Landon said to me.
“What right do you have to steal anything from me? You just took advantage of the situation. What kind of man does that make you, Landon?” Hansen shot back.
“Hansen, you don’t deserve the seven years of love that Christine gave you,” Landon spat.
Those might have been the words that truly set off Hansen’s temper.
He had never lost his mind like that before. “And you, Landon? You’re with a woman who spent seven years with me. What gives you the guts to stand in front of me and act like this? What do you love about her? Do you actually love Christine? Or do you just love the idea of having my woman?”
Landon punched Hansen squarely in the face.
But Hansen wasn’t the type to take it sitting down.
The two of them went after each other, blow for blow. Very quickly, both of them were bruised and bloodied.
A team of security guards had to struggle to break them apart.
