The police looked at the surveillance footage. After Lucius and I went up the mountain, he kept stealing glances at the bottom of
the cliff and then staring at me.
In the video footage, when he tried to adjust my posture, he lifted one of my legs and suddenly pushed me. Everything had been
recorded.
Blood soon drained out of Lilian’s face when she saw that.
On the contrary, Rebecca pointed at the screen. “Summer grabbed Lucius’s clothes here. She did it on purpose!”
I calmly looked at her. “He almost pushed me down the cliff. I instinctively grabbed anything that was close to me to save myself.
Is there anything wrong with that?”
Of course, the cops agreed with me. Rebecca glared at me.
Then, at the end of the recording, it was clear to see that I was extending my hand to pull Lucius up.
At last, he fell to the bottom of the valley.

The surveillance video showed everything. Lucius’s death had nothing to do with me.
Lilian and Rebecca were speechless.
A month later, I did what Lucius had told me. I went to the bank to get the lottery ticket out of the safe.
Then, I cashed the prize money at the lottery store. After paying the taxes, the remaining reward money belonged to me alone.
Since I had not divorced Lucius, Lilian and I were his nominees.
Lilian was waiting for me at the door of the lottery store. It had been a month since I had last met her. Her hair had turned gray.
“Summer, the lottery ticket belonged to my son. You should give all the money to me!”
Rebecca had also come along. She dropped her facade after Lucius had passed away.
“Yeah, it belonged to Lucius. It’s not yours!”
“How can you prove that the ticket was his? Did he write his name on it? I bought this myself.” I waved the ticket and sneered.
“How dare you?!”
Anger washed over Lilian. She blacked out and fell to the ground.
However, Rebecca did not even look at her. She tried to snatch the ticket from me.
But I was prepared. I called the security guards to take her away.
“That ticket is mine! It’s mine!”
I silently watched her as she went crazy.
I wondered why I foolishly befriended such a person.
Lilian lost her son and the lottery ticket. She got so angry that she had a stroke and was paralyzed.
I hired a caretaker to take care of her. I did not do it out of kindness. I just did not want anyone to get on my case about it.
As for Rebecca, the cops arrested her in an investigation since she repeatedly caused trouble and was suspected of inciting
murder. I guessed she had to spend the rest of her life in jail.
I bought a large house for my parents in my hometown so that they could retire comfortably.
On the other hand, I moved to a town in Southver, which had beautiful scenery.
All I wanted was a calm and peaceful life. I cherished the beautiful things I had and enjoyed my days well. I did not waste my
second chance at life that I had gained after much difficulty.
