I was brutally honest, confessing everything–from the game and the system to even the color of my underwear.
The final boss visibly blushed, and his affection level shot up to 40%.
So, he was one of those shy types.
My mind went wild again. “Maybe I should take the initiative. He has eight–pack abs! It’d be a waste not to touch them! What do I need to know about dating a boss? Will I get pregnant? I wonder what his last name is.”
The final boss glared at me. If it weren’t for the mask, his embarrassment would have been impossible to miss.
Aria covered her mouth and grinned mischievously. I was the only one completely confused.
Meanwhile, in a place I was unaware of, the live chat had already gone wild.
“OMG! Teach me how to flirt, Heidi! The grim final boss has gone crazy over you.”
“Heidi perfectly showed what it means to start picking out names for their kids the moment she laid eyes on him.”
“Wait, is this considered a posthumous marriage?”
The next moment, the final boss pulled me into his arms. You started this. Don’t blame me.”

I froze. My waist was completely trapped.
The surroundings quickly changed, transforming into the cozy setting of a bedroom.
I was pinned under him, unable to move.

“Let’s make a deal, Heidi Wallace. You raise my affection level, save me, and help me leave the game. I’ll protect you in exchange. How about that?”
I finally understood that the bosses weren’t part of the game. They had tragically died and been trapped by the game due to deep resentment.
The only way out was to wait for a player like me. Someone solated from everyone else, yet unknowingly opening up an opportunity.
Who wouldn’t want to be protected by the final boss?
But even though the bet seemed like a guaranteed win, the final boss clenched his fists nervously.
“What’s your name?” I asked. “If we’re working together, should at least know your name. Or should I call you hubby?”

The final boss blushed again, and his affection level kept rising. I reached up and touched his mask.
It seemed like I had hit a nerve. He hurriedly covered his face.
But I saw it. Beneath the mask was a face marked by burn scars.
“Don’t look! It’s ugly!” the final boss shouted.
“That’s a burn. You were burned to death?”
“No.” The final boss grew upset.
ク
But I remembered that one year in high school, Grandma tried to sell me to a 70–year–old man from a neighboring village.
She tricked me into going back to her place, slipped some drugs into my drink, and had me delivered to the old
man’s house.
But that night, a lamp caught fire.
As I waited for death, a figure burst through the door and saved me.
The man who saved me suffered from severe facial burns. But Grandma, wanting to claim more compensation, falsely accused him of starting the fire.
He was an orphan, once a top student in the city.
Thanks to a kind benefactor, he was supposed to have a bright future, but the false accusation ruined his reputation.
In the end, he set fire to the house left to him by his parents.
“I’m sorry!” I couldn’t stop my tears.
But he held me and comforted me.
It turned out that he had recognized me, and I was the one still clueless.
I had no idea that the phrase “lovesick fool” was being spammed nonstop in the live chat.

I pulled off his mask and kissed the burn scars on his face.
“You’re not ugly, Axel. Not only that, you even smell like barbecue. So appetizing!”
Axel Nightshade had intended to get angry and punish ine, but I kissed him on the lips. His body stiffened, and his face blushed again.
Suddenly, I felt like I had stepped on a head.
My hair stood on end with fear, but Axel calmly reached down and dug around. Eventually, he pulled out Aria’s little head.
At that moment, her head floated toward me and rested against my chest. “Heidi, don’t just go on dates with Axel. Don’t you love me anymore?”
“Of course, I do! I love you! But I love all of you even more! I thought.
Aria pouted, pretending to be angry, but I clearly saw that her affection level was now close to 100%. The same went for Axel.
“You can’t just raise our affection levels. There’s still that weird old man,” Axel said.
Weird old man?
I remembered now. It must be Aria’s grandfather.
Wasn’t his affection level the easiest to raise, then? After all, every grandparent loved their granddaughter.
All I had to do was get Aria to say a few kind words for me, and we’d be all set.
Suddenly, Aria said, “But Grandpa isn’t my real grandpa. He’s the grandpa I found.”
“What?”
