This man had never stood by my side–not when he forced me to donate blood, and not now when everyone was ganging up on
- me.
Queenie once again stood before me arrogantly as if she had already won.
“Yeah, hurry up and apologize to me. Otherwise, they won’t care about you anymore!”
I laughed, tilting my head back and looking at Queenie.
“You just love stealing my things, don’t you? You like Henry? Fine. I’ll divorce him and give him to you. But I want a legal document cutting all blood ties with the Reed family! From now on, I will have nothing to do with you people.”
The room fell into a dead silence. It was the kind that was suffocating.
Henry was the first one to speak.
He looked like an idiot. His voice broke as he stammered, “Honey, you want to… divorce me?”
On the other hand, Queenie tried to act as if she wanted to refuse.
“Well? This is your one and only chance. You better take it!”
Of course, Queenie wouldn’t refuse. She was tempted.
Our parents had always adored her, and they wouldn’t have the heart to reject her request.
When I finally got the legal document, the light in Henry’s eyes seemed to shatter completely.
He pitifully reached out and tried to hold my hand.
“Honey, you’re not really going to divorce me, right? I don’t agree with this. I won’t agree!”
However, Queenie clung to Henry affectionately and comforted him. “She must have her reasons for doing this. Let’s not bother
her.”
At the same time, she anxiously urged me, “You’ve got what you wanted, so hurry up!”
Smiling, I pulled out a divorce agreement from my bag and signed my name on it without hesitation.
Henry suddenly lunged forward. He wanted to snatch the divorce papers and tear them apart.
But he froze in place when I said coldly, “If you destroy that divorce agreement, I’ll take this to court instead. At worst, I’ll make this a huge scandal. Let’s see whose reputation gets ruined!”
His hand stiffened in midair.
After a long pause, he put his hand down powerlessly.

Chapter 7
“Honey…”
“Mr. Palmer, please address me by my name.”
He pressed his lips tightly together.
Seeing that I wasn’t backing down in the slightest, he had no choice but to call me by my name.
“Stephanie, I won’t divorce you. That’s not up to you.”
I tossed the signed divorce agreement to Queenie and then ordered them to leave. “Get out. I need to rest.”
Henry didn’t want to go, but Queenie dragged him out of the ward forcefully.
Right before they left, I overheard their argument.

“Why should I marry you? If it weren’t for you, Stephanie would never have divorced me! And besides, I love Stephanie, not you,
Queenie!”
I couldn’t help but chuckle.
His so–called love was worthless.
