Seeing Zachary defend her, Blair lowered her head as tears rolled down her cheeks. “It’s all my fault. I should’ve explained things to Rowena.”
“It’s not your fault,” Zachary replied, unable to resist comforting a pretty girl, especially one as delicate and pitiable as Blair.
He continued, “It’s just Rowena being petty. Honestly, her constant tantrums are exhausting. Even I get annoyed.” He said to Shawn, “Seriously, man, you shouldn’t let Rowena off the hook this time. Women can’t be spoiled like this. The more you indulge her, the more entitled she becomes.”
Shawn stayed silent, taking a long drag of his cigarette before picking up his phone. After a moment, he sent Blair a money transfer.
Blair’s expression lit up in surprise, but Shawn’s smirk was laced with sarcasm. “Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m not supporting you–I’m just covering for Rowena until she apologizes and comes back to her senses.”
While Shawn agreed with Zachary, he knew something they did not. As much as I annoyed him, he was clear about one thing–that after all his fun, he still planned to marry me.
Shawn could distinguish between his playthings and his future wife. In his mind, I was already his.
Still, Zachary had a point–Shawn was not about to give in easily this time.
With this thought, Shawn ignored Blair’s disappointed look and picked up his phone to text me. However, as soon as he hit send, an exclamation mark appeared that made his face darken.
Zachary noticed the change in his expression and leaned over. “Whoa! Rowena blocked you?“”
It took Zachary a moment to process before he exclaimed, “No way! Is she really that mad this time?”
Zachary’s words only worsened Shawn’s mood. Shawn tried calling me several times in a row, but every single attempt failed.
Of course, I had blocked him on all platforms.
Blair bit her lip and suggested sweetly, “Shawn, if this is because of me… maybe I should apologize to Rowena…” Shawn let out a cold laugh. “Apologize? If anyone’s apologizing, it’ll be her. Don’t you dare go to her!” Clutching his phone, Shawn took a deep breath. Then, in a fit of spite, he blocked my number in return. Still unsatisfied, he grabbed Zachary’s phone and sent me a message from Instagram.
“Rowena, you blocked me? Do you seriously think I won’t get mad at you?”

However, when he hit “send“, the app prompted, “You can only send one message to Rowena because she hasn’t accepted your chat invite. Any message after will not be sent to Rowena.”
Zachary clicked his tongue at the notification. “Rowena’s being so dramatic. Shawn, I’m telling you. You need to teach her a lesson this time.”
Shawn tossed Zachary’s phone back at him, then turned to Blair. “Do you want to date me?”

Tara saw the post and tore into Shawn for two straight hours, and even then, she was not done. When it came to cursing out a jerk, Tara was an expert.
