The dean’s expression darkened, and she called Jane to her office.
However, Penny and our group members were there, so the news of this incident spread like wildfire.
“I heard that she was begging on her knees in the dean’s office. She got a warning, lost all her credit, and ruined her reputation.”
“She’s too sneaky. She was aiming to bring down the top student in our class. She even got herself the same clothing. Luckily, Rue wasn’t harmed!”
Our classmates were all gossiping. When Jane entered the classroom, they all fell silent.
The lecturer told us that they would not grade Jane this time.
She then told our group, “The topic and report you presented were really good. You may try to refine it and submit it for publication. Feel free to ask me for help if you find it necessary.”
My eyes lit up.
If I managed to publish a paper, I would have a better chance of securing a spot in the postgraduate program.
Meanwhile, Jane was staring at me with her dark eyes….
After the incident, my two other roommates also distanced themselves from her.
She could only find new friends.
Our senior informed us that the college was planning to host a cultural night. All members of the club would need to work on it.
