At the latest report, his body tensed. Silence stretched before he finally flicked a hand, dismissing Kenny to keep searching.
Once the door shut, Andrew leaned back, exhaustion pressing down on him. He let out a slow, frustrated sigh, fingers pinching
the bridge of his nose.
At first, he’d thought Lena leaving was just another tantrum–angry that he’d married Nicole.
But now, after all this time, she was still gone.
And for the first time, her words echoed back at him.
‘I won’t like you anymore.‘
Back then, he’d shrugged it off. She was obsessed with him–she wouldn’t actually leave. It was just a game, a cry for attention.

How?
How had he been blocked?
He sat there, searching for an answer, but none came.
Then-

A knock.
Kenny reappeared, lugging a large box.
“Mr. Rohan, a package arrived. The sender insisted only you could open it.”
Andrew frowned, his gaze flicking to the box.
The moment his fingers brushed the string tying it shut, his heart slammed against his ribs.
Something was wrong.
Something terribly wrong.
For a second, he hesitated.
Then, jaw tight, he untied the string.
And the moment he saw what was inside-
His eyes widened.
