Jeffrey hesitated, then stepped forward. “Madam Coreene, the truck driver died on the spot. But…”
“But what? Speak!”
Coreene’s glare was lethal. Jeffrey’s chest tightened, but he pushed on. “It was the Jenner family. They sent the driver after your
son… because of Nicole Jenner.”
The second she heard that name, everything clicked.
When Nicole was first locked up, the Jenners wreaked havoc at the Rohan estate.
At their worst, they even sent Coreene and her husband to the hospital.
Andrew had shut them down after returning to Altesia, cutting ties and pushing them to ruin. Most of them were either locked up
or barely clinging to life in hospitals.

The Rohans had finally found peace.
But the Jenners had one last move.

So when the guards dragged a shackled Nicole into the interrogation room-
