Simon covered his face as tears of regret flowed down his cheeks. He had his secretary check all the outbound flights set around
the time the driver had mentioned. He discovered that only one flight was set to fly to Europe. Switzerland, to be exact.
When he received the news, he was in a meeting to talk about the new products to be launched in the next season. But the
moment he heard that Hertha might be in Switzerland, he put a stop to the meeting regardless of the criticisms from the other directors. He booked a flight to Switzerland, but he came at an inopportune moment because Bertha was touring Germany with
Emma at that time.
Hence, even if he searched around Switzerland with Bertha’s photo for three days and nights, it was useless.
In all the ten years or so that he had worked with Simon, his secretary had never seen him in such a frustrated and defeated state

He did not know whether Bertha would still forgive him, but no matter what, he had to find her and apologize to her.
On the fourth day, the elders of his family gave him another warning. If he did not come back, they were going to let someone else be in charge of Zimmer Corp and the company he had created with Bertha.
That company was the last memory of love between him and Bertha that was not destroyed. He could not just watch it end up in
someone else’s hands.
So, he decided to return to the country first and settle things within the corporation before continuing his search. As long as she
was still alive, he would surely find her.
Unbeknownst to Simon, the moment he stepped through the security check gate, Bertha’s flight landed, and they missed each
