Samuel was older than Bertha by three years. When Bertha became a high school student, he had already gotten into the
university of his dreams. His teachers in high school described him as a bona fide model student. They were supposed to have
nothing to do with each other, but during the semester break of his first year in university, Samuel went back to visit his teacher.
He got there just in time to see Bertha getting cornered in the washroom and being bullied.
Since he was a boy, he was not supposed to barge into the ladies‘ washroom. But for some reason, perhaps out of a sense of
justice, he charged in shamelessly and yelled at her bullies.
Even after so many years had passed, Samuel could still remember the first time he met Bertha. Her head was covered in smelly
toilet paper as she cowered in the dirty washroom. She was wearing ill–fitting sportswear, but her eyes were bright, like water.
When he reached out to her, Bertha grabbed his hand hesitantly but tightly. From then on, their fates were intertwined.
When he discovered that Bertha had a talent for art, he brought her into the world of design, and they made a promise to meet up
