Gripping Dolly’s arm for support, I whispered, “Get rid offer. I don’t want to see her.”
My body trembled as 1 spoke.
I could feel this body’s reflex–anger.
It was disheartening to realize that I wasn’t capable of Ignoring them. I still got mad, furious even, to the point. where I wanted to lose control.
I couldn’t tell if it was fragments of lost memories surfacing or simply the aftermath of the concussion.
All I knew was that my body felt off.
Whenever anything involved Julian or Chloe, an overwheling discomfort took over. It felt pathological, something deeply rooted in my mind.
Dolly noticed immediately that something was wrong.
She turned to Chloe and snapped, “Chloe, Evelyn has nothing to say to you. Whether you’re here to apologize or to flaunt something, we don’t care anymore.”
Her tone sharpened. “You’re like a fly buzzing around rotten food. Annoying, disgusting. Julian’s the rotten food, and you’re the fly. Perfect match, so just stay out of everyone else’s lives.”
Chloe visibly wavered under Dolly’s barrage of insults, looking like she might collapse at any moment.
When she stepped forward, reaching out to grab me, Dolly swung her hand to block her.
Chloe clutched her face with a pained gasp.
“What’s going on here?”
Julian’s furious voice cut through the tension as he strode toward us, his face dark with anger.
Dolly, glaring at Chloe’s crumpled figure, let out a cold laugh. “Right on cue. Chloe, you tipped him off, didn’t you? Same old game. Aren’t you tired of pulling this stunt every time?”
Chloe’s eyes welled with tears, her expression a perfect blend of vulnerability and despair, designed to draw sympathy.
She looked up at Julian, helpless and trembling, and reached out to cling to his arm.
“Julian, don’t be upset. Miss White didn’t do anything to me.”
I watched the scene unfold with cold detachment.
Then, out of nowhere, Julian did something that left us all stunned.
Julian avoided Chloe’s grasp, his anger tightly restrained. “Chloe, go back. This isn’t the place for you.”
Both Chloe and Dolly froze in disbelief.
Caught off guard, I met Julian’s gaze, and for a moment, I was stunned too.
He was looking directly at me, his expression unreadable, filled with something I couldn’t quite place.

I almost doubted my ears and eyes was Jullani actually tel ng Chloe to leave?
Chloe stood there in shock before breaking Into even harde sobs. “Jullan, I know I shouldn’t have come. I just wanted to explain everything to Miss White. I can even give the pink diamond back to her…”
But Julian didn’t look at her tear–streaked face. His gaze remained fixed on me, unwavering
Feeling uncomfortable, I wiped my face, wondering if there was something on it that had caught his attention.
Without turning his head, Julian said, “Chloe, you should address her as Mrs. Moore.”
The room fell into an awkward silence, thick enough to cut with a knife.
Chloe’s shock quickly turned to devastation.
She let out a brittle laugh as tears rolled down her cheeks in large, dramatle drops.
“Alright, I understand now. Mr. Moore, I promise I won’t appear in front of you both again.”
Turning to me, she said, “Mrs. Moore, I’m sorry. I apologize for all the trouble I’ve caused you over the years. I’ll leave now.“!
With that, she turned and walked away without a backward glance, her steps resolute despite her tears.
I watched her retreating figure, unmoved, before turning to Julian. “Aren’t you going after her?”
For a moment, his eyes softened with melancholy and hesitation, a flicker of regret passing through them.
I let out a dry laugh. “Go ahead, chase after her. I couldn’t care less.”
