The employee looked quite confused. He could also recognize Dominic as the madman who had scattered my ashes in the
crematorium earlier.
“Sorry, but the wind blew Ms. Burton’s ashes away after you left. We couldn’t collect it at all.”
Dominic was the one who had scattered my ashes. Heck, he even ground his foot into them. Yet now, he came all the way back to
the crematorium just to ask for my ashes.
I had a feeling that he wanted to humiliate me one more time. Maybe he intended to scatter my ashes in front of Mdm. Miranda
this time.
The atmosphere became tense right away. Dominic hoisted the employee by the collar while growling out menacingly, “How dare you lie to me! There wasn’t any wind back then! I’ll give you three minutes to cough up Ophelia’s ashes right now!”
Dominic had completely changed into a brand new person over the past two years. He was used to being brutal and decisive when

The employee could only slump against the wall helplessly. Still, a trace of mockery flashed across his eyes.

“Sorry, Mr. Sharp. We really don’t have Ms. Burton’s ashes. I gave you all of her ashes back then. You were the one who dropped the urn and scattered her ashes. If you keep causing trouble here, we have no choice but to call the police.”
Dominic was stunned. It was as though he finally accepted the fact that he was the one who scattered my ashes. He lowered his hands dejectedly before stumbling out of the crematorium with his tail between his legs.
I could only shoot the poor employee an apologetic look. Then, my soul began following Dominic autonomously.
It was an extremely dark night tonight. Dominic’s face was already shrouded by the darkness.
Ever since he left the crematorium, he didn’t speak a word. The car was deathly silent the whole time. I knew that he couldn’t see
me, and yet I couldn’t help but feel nervous and on edge.
Once Dominic killed the engine, he leaned against his seat while staring at the dark window. He sat in the car throughout the
night. Of course, he kept staring at the window the entire night too.
Soon, the sky started becoming brighter. Dominic didn’t sleep a wink at all, so there were dark circles under his eyes. His eyes
were starting to become bloodshot too.
I caressed his face out of astonishment, soon realizing that there were tear tracks on his cheeks.
Dominic had cried, and yet I didn’t realize that happened.
The moment I touched his face, I felt as though my fingertips were scalded by hot water, causing me to retract my hand immediately. But my hand began trembling violently.
Suddenly, I grinned sardonically. I supposed that Dominic could easily cry out of happiness because he realized that his mortal
enemy was truly dead.
Today was Mdm. Miranda’s death anniversary. Two years ago, Dominic had dragged me into the car furiously on this very day. He
had also made me kneel before her grave for 24 hours.
That wasn’t enough. I needed to apologize to her the whole time too.
Once it was over, I couldn’t even stand up. My knees were all chafed and bloodied.
But Dominic was very happy to see me suffer. He told me I deserved this. He even said that I was doomed to roam in purgatory
and that I would never be able to rest in peace.
Well, he was right. After I died, I couldn’t even go to hell.
This year, Dominic and Isabelle were the only ones visiting Mdm. Miranda’s grave. When I saw Isabelle, I’d always tremble
uncontrollably.
Although she was the one who killed Mdm. Miranda, Dominic still patiently brushed away some of her locks which were messed

up by the wind.
At the moment, Isabelle was kneeling before Mdm. Miranda’s grave while looking sorrowful.
“Mom, Dominic and I are here to visit you. By the way, Ophelia is dead. You’ll be able to rest in peace
now.”
