Chapter 4
Dominic was stunned for a moment. That was when Adrian used the opportunity to deliver an uppercut across Dominic’s jaw.
“Ugh…”
It was then Adrian got up from the floor. He spared a condescending glance at Dominic, who was visibly dumbstruck.
Adrian ordered coldly, “I want you to take your men and get the hell out of my house right now.”
Dominic got up instantly. Instead of leaving, he shoved Adrian out of his way and rushed into the study.
My photos were spread out on the desk. All of the photos showed my face, which was completely covered in blood. I was even
unrecognizable in some of the photos.
I just glanced at the photos before looking away. I knew very well just how terrible I looked when I died. One of my eyes had
popped out of its sockets. The left section of my forehead had completely caved in. The forensic doctor had a difficult time discerning my identity back then.
To think that Adrian would have these gruesome photos spread out on his desk. I couldn’t help but wonder if he wasn’t afraid of
having nightmares when he slept at night.
Dominic clutched those photos tightly as though he was looking for something. He kept scanning those photos seriously, not
wanting to miss any detail.
A corner of the photos showed traces of being folded because of how tightly Dominic was gripping them. After listening to his
subordinate’s report, he turned his attention to the computer’s monitor in disbelief.
The monitor showed a video of my accident. Two cars could be seen colliding with each other. My car practically flew away from
the crash site. Needless to say, it was a harrowing sight.
Dominic’s eyes reddened instantly. His hand, which held the mouse, began trembling slightly, yet he stubbornly rewatched the
video over and over again.
