The next morning, my mother took my father to the hospital while Liam stayed home to take care of Alice, who was still recovering.
My mother kept scolding my father during their journey as she accused him of always siding with me, the “evil daughter” no matter what.
She was still scolding him even as they stepped into the morgue. “Today, you’re going to see just what kind of monster your precious daughter really is!”
However, her words came to a halt when she saw my body, she took a few steps back and clasped her hands unconsciously as she muttered, “No… This can’t be… She was just fine that day. Alice wasn’t hurt at all, so how could anything happen to her?”
