Then, my father collapsed into the pool of blood, smiling as he looked at my photo. “It’s okay, Vanessa. I have killed all the bad people for you.”
Alas, I had turned away from the scene the second he started his killing spree, unable to bear the bloody scene before me.
Suddenly, I heard my father mumbling to himself. “There’s one more bad guy left.”
Then, the sound of the knife piercing through the flesh filled the air.
I sighed. A second later, I found myself face–to–face with my mother’s spirit.
“Vanessa! My Vanessa!” She approached me with delight, but I took a step back.
My mother stiffened upon noticing my reaction.
“I know I’ve made mistakes. I have changed, Vanessa! Why won’t you let me near you?” She stood there and apologized. “Vanessa, I truly know I was in the wrong. I’ll make it up to you in the next life! I promise you’ll be the happiest girl in the world!”
However, I merely looked at her and said calmly, “I’ve never blamed you for anything, Mom.”
I watched her expression shift from surprise to joy as I continued, “But I will never forgive you. Not now, not ever.
I continued watching as her face slowly turned pale. Then, Her spirit gradually faded away.
“Dad,” I whispered.
Then, the spirit that had hidden away cautiously appeared.
I looked into his hopeful eyes and said, “Thank you for what you did, but it’s too late.” I shook my head. “Let’s not

meet again.” With that, I began to drift away.
