My wedding day had finally arrived.
On Valentine’s Day, the most secretive and heavily guarded private island in all of Sicily opened its doors to welcome mafia
families from around the world.
Ivan brought me back to Sicily and married me in the grandest way possible.
The wedding was held in a century–old, hidden church perched on a cliff that overlooked the deep blue Mediterranean Sea.
When I stood at the entrance, the soft candlelight made my wedding gown appear almost dreamlike.
This gown was personally commissioned by Ivan. The entire dress was adorned with diamonds, and hand–stitched pearls
embellishing the hem. Every stitch represented his love for me.
A red carpet stretched all the way to the altar. On both sides, rows of black–clad mercenaries stood ready with their hands resting
on their guns.
Ivan was waiting for me at the front of the church. Dressed in a custom black suit, the emblem of the Vittorio family pinned at his
collar, his deep gaze burned with intensity as he awaited my arrival.
The priest asked, “Do you take this man as your lawfully wedded husband?”
Ivan took my hand, looking at me with unwavering sincerity.
“Before God and everyone present, I hereby swear.
“Through life and death, glory or ruin, my loyalty, my love, my everything, belong only to you.”
He unfastened his cufflinks, exposed his wrist, and made a small cut on his palm with a dagger.
I did the same.
Blood welled up, and he clasped my hand. Our fingers entwined while our blood mingled.
“From this moment on, you are my wife. You are my family.”
I looked into his eyes and slowly nodded.
“I do, Ivan Vittorio.”
He slid a ring engraved with the family crest onto my finger. He then pulled me into his arms and pressed his lips against mine
before all the gathered mafia families.
“Madeline! You can’t marry him!”
A battered and bruised Leonardo suddenly barged into the church.

Vincent’s face turned red with rage, and he immediately ordered his men to restrain Leonardo.
“How dare you cause trouble at your brother’s wedding? Step down!”
But for the first time, Leonardo defied Vincent head–on.
“I don’t want the position of heir! I just want Madeline!
“Madeline, in the previous lifetime, you married me!
“We ruled the entire mafia world together. I was the godfather, and you were the rightful godmother! This was supposed to be
our ending, but now, everything has gone wrong!
“Come back to me, and I will give you the love you deserve!”
His words were beyond foolish. The mafia leaders in attendance murmured in disapproval.
If I hadn’t also been reborn, the old me might have believed his nonsense.
I met his gaze and spoke each word with absolute clarity.
“Leonardo, your feelings mean nothing to me now.
“If you still don’t understand, then listen carefully. I, Madeline, love Ivan Vittorio. And for the rest of this life, he will be the only
one I love.”
After Ivan and I were officially married, Leonardo still refused to accept it.
He caused an uproar within the Vittorio family, even openly challenging Vincent’s authority.
In the end, he was completely stripped of his inheritance rights and exiled to the outskirts of the family’s territory in South America. He was never again allowed to interfere in Vittorio affairs.
Meanwhile, I became pregnant.
One night, Ivan gently placed his hand on my stomach. He still seemed unable to process the shock and joy of the news.
