Samuel and Yelena’s wedding was major news in the Imperial City.
Many people arrived early outside the church to wait for the Foster family to send someone to distribute wedding favors to them.
The well wishes for a happy marriage kept coming, but Samuel just could not be happy for some reason. He remembered how his heart had clenched when he saw Joy at the door this morning, and he started feeling anxious again. He just could not shake the feeling that he had just let something slip from his grasp.
The church was decorated lavishly with wedding decorations as well.
Yelena’s bridesmaids stood at the entrance while waiting for Samuel and his entourage.
It was 11 a.m.. The bells rang, and Samuel and his entourage finally showed up within their sight.
They jumped in excitement and hurried over to Yelena.
“He’s here!”
“Yelena, Mr. Foster is here!”
At that, Yelena hurriedly threw away her makeup puff and pulled down the veil.
After the commotion outside died down, Samuel finally knocked on her door to visit her before the wedding officially started.
When she saw Samuel dressed in a suit, Yelena ducked her head shyly.
She could not squash the excitement in her heart.
She was finally going to get married to Samuel!
While they waited for the ceremony to start, Yelena kept observing Samuel.
She wondered whether she was imagining things, but Samuel seemed distracted from the moment he stepped into her waiting room.
She tugged his sleeve. “Samuel?”
His mind returned to the present, and he looked at her. “What’s wrong?”
“Is there something on your mind? You don’t seem happy.
She would not usually bother thinking about this, but they were getting married, and as the groom, Samuel should not be behaving so oddly.
Samuel pinched the center of his brows before he chuckled. “I couldn’t sleep yesterday because I kept getting reminded that I was getting married today.”
