Chapter 19
“Honey, everyone who hurt you has paid the price. As long as you come back, I’ll accept whatever you want me to do. Please, come back, okay?” Luther posted.
The post only confirmed the suspicions of the online community. His résignation as CEO was now inevitable.
Arthur opened his mouth as if to speak but ultimately said nothing. Instead, he took the PR plans from the table and left. Before walking out, he gave Luther one last look and sighed.
If he had known this day would come, why did he act so recklessly before?
At this moment, nothing mattered to Luther except Callista
The public tore into him mercilessly online, with curses ranging from losing the love of his life to wishing him a miserable death.
In his self–inflicted torment, Luther scrolled through every comment. He was hoping to find even the smallest clue about Callista.
But after scrolling from dawn to dusk, he still found nothing. His despair deepened.
He had mentioned Wren’s child to Kai on purpose. It was a desperate gamble.
Perhaps, if Callista’s only family was in trouble, she might come back. Nonetheless, she didn’t.
Luther no longer knew how to make things right or win her back. He posted more posts on his socials.

Shouting erupted outside, followed by Wren bursting into the room. She grabbed the storage box and flung it across the room.
Luther’s expression darkened instantly. He dragged Wren out of the room and threw her at the house staff. “If she sets foot in here again, none of you will keep your jobs.”
He immediately returned to the nursery, carefully picking up the scattered syringes and placing them back into the storage box.
As she was pinned down by the staff, Wren screamed hysterically, “Luther Spencer, do you even have a heart? That was your child too, and you didn’t even look at him!
“The baby was fully formed–he was so close to opening his eyes and seeing the world. How could you be so cruel? “Luther… did you ever love me at all?” By the end, her voice was hoarse and broken.
She had been with Luther for nearly a year. He treated her so well, almost as if she lacked nothing except the title. Her heart had wavered, and she became greedy. She wanted to marry Luther, to have him as hers forever.

But now, he wouldn’t even glance at her. Instead, he meticulously cleaned and arranged the items Callista had left behind, as though they were more valuable than her, an actual living person.
